J.J. LaDue was born in Boston, Massachusetts and spent most of his childhood between Ireland and the U.S. He worked in the comic book, music, and film industries. J.J. wrote music and lyrics for his band TSW, releasing an album in 1998. In 1999 he published a short horror story comic called the Fifth Descendant in an anthology published by Megaverse City Comics. As an assistant director, J.J. worked on three short films: Gloria; The Depth of Negatives; and yet to be released Bitter/Sweet directed by Eric Ryan. In 2021, a song J.J. co-wrote was recorded by a Canadian band called The Celtic Kitchen Party and they perform it live regularly. J.J. is currently seeking a degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. J.J. recently moved to Rhode Island with his wife, whom he met on a movie set. J.J. writes about the fantastic, the funny, and the frightening.
